| Please note: for most modern machines you will NOT get the messages below unless you are trying to install an old version of 3B (pre v2.0).
3B versions prior to v2.0 only ran at a particular size and color level. If the current settings of your computer do not support this, 3B will try to change your machine settings.
Before the change is attempted, 3B pops up a message which says:
"3B needs to adjust the color setting of your display in order to run correctly.
If your display cannot handle the new settings, your original settings will be restored in 15 seconds".
You need to press OK for this, otherwise 3B will not try to change your display settings and 3B will exit.
"In order for 3B to run, your display has been reconfigured. Do you want to keep these settings?" You have 15 seconds to say YES the settings are ok.
If you say YES (to accept new settings), then 3B starts. You should only click YES if you are happy with the way the desktop looks. If you say NO or wait too long, then 3B exits and gives you the following message:
"Your display has not been configured to support 3B. Please contact support."
For more technically inclined viewers: 3B runs at 1024x768 and in 16 bit color mode. It is intended to support 32 bit color mode in the near future. |
